Witness is 13 years old and wants to become a Doctor. She wants to specialize in the treatment of women as she believes that women are at high risk of dying in developing countries during delivery and other problems associated with pregnancy. She sadly experienced this first-hand as her aunt passed away when she was giving birth. Witness lives with her stepfather who is selling fish in Kunduchi which is a small village in Dar es Salaam. To Witness, getting a sponsor so that she can continue her education would be the best gift and one she would take full advantage of.
