Your accommodation at our Friendly Gecko Volunteer House in Tanzania

 

After a long day as a Volunteer full of new impressions in our exciting help2kids projects in Kunduchi, Tanzania, there is nothing better than coming back to a cozy accommodation, reviewing the day, sharing the experiences with other volunteers, writing a diary or blog, sending photos and messages home, cooking a delicious dinner together and reading a good book.

Our beautiful Friendly Gecko Volunteer House is spacious and cozy and offers enough space for 16 volunteers with single and shared rooms on the help2kids Campus in Kunduchi, a village just outside Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. 

Our volunteer house is part of the help2kids campus. We have three shared rooms for 4 – 6 volunteers and two private rooms for a little more privacy. All rooms are equipped with standing and ceiling fans and all beds have mosquito nets and bed linen. Our volunteers share a shower and toilet. There is also a kitchen and living area where you can eat and relax.

The costs for volunteering include: Breakfast and lunch at the Volunteer House: toast, butter, peanut butter, jam, tea, coffee, juice and a daily extra: eggs, chapati, mandazi or fresh fruit. Volunteers have access to a fully equipped kitchen to cook their own dinner and free water from our drinking water dispenser. There is also a laundry service and access to internet/WIFI. The rooms are cleaned for you daily.

In the house opposite we have an outdoor area on our beautiful terrace with sofas to relax in the evening with a cold drink and a good book or card and board games and enjoy the view of the sea and Mbudya Island.
